Carson learned how to put his fist in his mouth!!!
I am so proud! He thought it was so funny.
Here is a picture with his Diego backpack. He wanted to wear it all weekend.
The Life and Times of Our Family

Last year Shea got sick so we put a twin mattress by our bedside and that is where she had slept until recently. She has her own princess room but she still slept with us.
When we went to Aruba last year my parents slept over. She wanted to sleep with them by laying in the middle. Half way through the night she went down to her bed because Grandpa snored too loud!! Maybe that is what Matt and I should have done.
So about three weeks ago I was cleaning my room and decided enough was enough. I moved the mattress out and she is now in her bed. She still protests to go to bed and always wakes up about two to three hours into the night. But now Matt and I put her back into her room. (Okay it is just Matt. I pretend to be asleep!)
She has done so good. Last night she wanted me to snuggle with her in her bed. I had just gone running with some friends and told her I was too sweaty to do so. In her prayers she said, "And make my mom not be so sweaty so she can snuggle with me!" She doesn't miss a thing. Kids say the darndest things!
Saturday night it was Matt's Dad's birthday party. He is 80 years old. Oh wait just 58! Hee hee hee! We went to a time share that they have and swam in the pool. The waterslide ended up being closed but NOTHING stops our family. Needless to say they opened it back up for us and the kids had a great time on it. Craig took Carson down the slide a few times and he loved it. Craig is Carson's "dare devil" buddy! We had a lot of fun that night.
Sunday we went to church. My work called me in the morning to see if I could come in. I thought about it for a while and decided I needed to be with my family and at church. So guess what our lesson was about in sacrament meeting??? "Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy" and "Learning how to let go of certain things that might hold us back".
Boy I think I made the right decision that day. It was just one of those days that you needed to be there and Satan tried to keep me away! In our ward we are having a marriage class each month. These classes have been very beneficial. So between Thursday night's class about "how to deal with challenges in marriage" and Sunday I feel I have gained perspective on some things. Maybe this is why I have insomnia. I am thinking about things too much.
