Father and Son's Camping Trip!

This year was the first year Matt took Carson on the Father and Son's Camping Trip. Shea was really upset because she wanted to go camping. I told her she could do whatever she wanted. So she wanted to go spend the night at Grandma Richardson's house. So Lacey, Shea and I spent the night at my parents house. The next morning my dad and I hiked Thunderbird Mountain. I smoked my dad. Usually he smokes me up the mountain. Sorry dad I guess we need to do that more often.

Back to the camping trip. I don't feel like it was a huge brake for me because I had to pack everything. And I mean everything. Matt just came home from work. picked up Carson and his friend Tom and went camping. What a good packer I am and wife and mother! I hear Carson only ate chocolate doughnuts the whole time.
One of the many chocolate doughnuts he ate.

I was a little perplexed by the next pictures. Why was Matt allowing Carson to play with the tailgate on his truck. I guy what happens at the Fathers and Son's Camp out should stay at the Fathers and Son's Camp out!

Catch up time!

Shea and I went to my niece's 10th Birthday Party back in May. The party was at the place where Madi takes gymnastics. Shea had a lot of fun!! The blue squishy foam things looked so fun to jump in. So I did. And I got STUCK! My brother Kevin was filming me the whole time trying to get out. I have never felt so big in my life. Plus I had a skirt on and that didn't help the problem. I haven't seen the video yet but I am sure he is keeping it for black male!! Happy Birthday Madi we loved spending the day with you!

Pamela spent all day on this awesome cake. It was eaten within 5 minutes.

Pickle Head

A daily conversation with Carson and I.

Me "I love you Carson!"
Carson "I love you mommy pickle head!"

Carson has been saying such random funny things lately. Like shouting "WHOOPEE CUSHION" After prayers he will say "Amen" and then add random words. We stooped it when he said "Amen poo poo". I know he just want to get people to laugh and he is just like his daddy!! Today at the doctor I said, "Come on Carson let's go." (we were in the hall with two nurses around) He said, "Okay mama poo poo chicken poo." It is hard not to laugh! I know our nursery leader at church heard one of his outburst in the hall on Sunday. Oh Boys I love them!!

Spring Training Game

Here are a few pictures from a spring training game we went to. That day we decided to go to Luke Days but we were stuck in traffic for a hour. We decided to turn around and go to a game instead!

They're Engaged!

My little sister and her boyfriend got engaged a month ago! They have been together for three years so it is about time!! Steve is just the best guy! The whole family loves him a lot. I knew the first time I met them that he was a "good" guy. I knew this because we were all sitting around the dinner table at my parents house. My grandpa Richardson started tell a story. I can't remember what the story was about but I watched Steve and he was listening to him very intently. He was focused on him and he was very respectful. This is a huge thing to me because it showed his compassion for Jody's family. This was the moment I thought Jody had found the one.

I think Jody and Steve knew that they were meant to be from the start but they had to make sure. Jody moved to Las Vegas a year and half ago to be closer to Steve. Once she was they were inseparable and they moved back to Phoenix (because Jody insisted). Steve recently graduated from culinary school at the top of his class. This is a huge bonus to us because he is a awesome chef. He even named salsa after my sister "jodyguacasalsa" hehe

I am so excited for them and the journey they are about to begin. Steve will be a wonderful father. He almost had tears in his eyes when he saw Lacey for the first time. Now all Jody needs to do is plan the wedding and not have anxiety over it!! I hope they enjoy this time together in there lives. Poor Steve is surrounded by "Richardson women" now. I think he knows that we will hurt him worse that the men if he does anything to Jody! hehe He is funny because he just shakes his head at us (Jody, Laura and I) when we get crazy! It is fun though and I wouldn't want it any other way!

WARNING...gross pictures of my mom's foot!

My mom had foot surgery at the beginning of March. Her foot has been in a cast until today. She has a boot on now but can't put pressure on it. She had surgery because the bones in her foot started sliding off to the right and they ruptured her tendon. She could hardly walk. But she is doing well. When this all started we thought maybe she had a stroke because of the way she was walking. After a lot of doctor appointments we think it is just her foot that put her off balance. We were relieved it was just this. Hopefully the surgery worked and she can get back to her life! She had to take time off work as a Kindergarten teacher and I know she just wants to be back with her kids. I am enjoying the time I get to spend with her and help her out. She probably doesn't like sitting around all day but it had given her and Lacey time to bond!

Where did the time go?

These pictures are just a preview of what my friend Jennifer did for her newborn photos. Thank you! http://www.photojenicblog.net/

Where have I been? It has been 6 1/2 weeks since Lacey was born. It feels like forever. The days are slow but the weeks are fast. My mom had major foot surgery on March 2nd. She could barley move and has to use a wheelchair and a potty seat. I have been at her house 3-4 times a week taking care of her. It has been fun and I glad to spend the time with her and she gets to see Lacey more. I think in one day I wiped her butt, Lacey's butt and Carson butt in the same hour! (sorry mom) But I have been slacking on posts. So here are a few pictures of Lacey.

These days she eats, poops, smiles, tries to laugh, then cries, and goes back to sleep. Then she likes to play what we call "possum" where she falls asleep then for no reason her eyes open big and she is awake then cries. We play this for about 2 hours until she finally falls asleep. She enjoys this in the middle of the night and in the afternoon. But I am loving every moment of it. Okay that's a lie. I love it during the day not at night! She loves her carseat and only sleeps in this at night. It is a bad habit but I don't know what else to do. So all is good in our house and Matt is gaining the courage to make a appointment for his vasectomy (his choice!).

poo face!
